Spinal Subluxation

Spinal subluxation is sometimes referenced as vertebral subluxation; this is the condition in which one misaligned vertebra or damaged spinal segment results in nerve compression, obstruction, or damage in the body.  This nerve damage then, in turn, is known to cause numerous other issues within the body.  Symptoms of spinal subluxation may not appear as readily as pain from other spinal conditions, however, pain throughout the back, legs, shoulders, arms, and neck are good indicators some form of spinal subluxation has occurred.  The neural damage in spinal subluxation may also not appear as general pain and will manifest itself into many other forms of organ and other corporal maladies.  Seeking the advice and inspection of a qualified chiropractor is imperative in receiving competent information concerning the true nature of your suffering.

In many cases, the cause of the spinal subluxation is a mystery to patients.  Though seemingly innocuous at first, simple slips, falls, or overstretching can cause a vertebra to become ajar.  Other more memorable events, such as contact sports play, car accidents, or work injuries are the definitive root cause of your spinal subluxation.  Sometimes, simple habits formed over the course of your life are to blame.  Poor posture, obesity, incorrect lifting techniques, or damaging sleep habits and positions can cause serious and seemingly sudden pain in patients due to these regularly occurring habits.  Something even as subjective as your personal stress levels could influence a spinal subluxation.

Some of the basic symptoms of a possible spinal subluxation usually prompt patients to seek some form of medical assistance.  A chiropractor  can help.  This pain takes many forms including back pain, lower back spasms, headaches, joint aches or pain, trouble walking, standing, or sitting, insomnia, and tightness in muscles and tendons.  A chiropractor can help address all of these issues through spinal adjustments.

In response to spinal subluxation, chiropractors have at their disposal, a large number of methods and therapeutic means capable of ensuring the spine is in-line with the body.  This realignment of the spine allows for a free flowing of the neural signals sent from the nervous system, which were compressed prior to the chiropractic treatment.  These adjustments seek to align the spine as closely to perfect as possible.  Over time, gradual adjustments can attain a high level of success in a person’s health and lifestyle.  Seeking the help of a chiropractor for spinal subluxation treatment could be the adjustment you have been looking for in your life.
